(Confession: I wish I was more organized and that my home had less stuff in it.)

Would you be interested in a Decluttering Challenge? More on that later…

First, I want to talk about how decluttering your home will improve your life.

Believe it or not, your home is a reflection of your state of mind and your life, and vice versa.

If you feel confused and overwhelmed, look around and pay attention to your environment. It could very well be that the clutter in your home or office is distracting you from seeing and thinking clearly.

“I wholeheartedly believe that there is a correlation between clutter and energy."

Conversely, if your home is cluttered, it could be a result of you having a cluttered mind and cluttered life.

I wholeheartedly believe that there is a correlation between clutter and energy.

Everything in the Universe is made out of energy. When we have a cluttered space, the energy cannot flow freely thus creating disharmony in hour homes, which in turn affects our relationships, finances and even our health.

In today’s episode I talk with Kelly Drake, creator of the Your Reclaimed Life blog. Kelly is a stay at home mom, who overcame anxiety and panic attacks by decluttering her home. In the today’s show she tells us how she discovered this correlation, how she applied it and the results she got.

Kelly is a self-proclaimed coffee addict and organizing fanatic. She is a mother of 3 and lives in a farm with her her husband, children and lots of cute animals.

With her blog, Kelly's intent is to help other overwhelmed moms learn to reclaim their lives, homes, and families through intentional simplicity using practical methods to declutter not just their space, but their calendar, finances and health as well and she has created a decluttering method to inspire other women to live the life they were called to love.

Kelly is generously sharing with us a PDF to help us walk through where to start our decluttering process. She explains that decluttering can feel so overwhelming and her PDF will serve as a way to declutter in a more organized and focused manner. She advices that it can take longer for some to receive the link. It will come to their inbox.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE…

I am thinking about starting a Decluttering Challenge for the month of February. If you would be interesting in participating with me, let me know by sending me an e-mail at info@theartoffollowingyourheart.com or via any of my Social Media platforms below.

I think by doing a challenge we can encourage, support and hold each other accountable so we can accomplish this in a fun way!
