ABOUT
Originally from Panama, Central America, I moved to the United States over 30 years ago. Today, I live in South Louisiana with my husband and our two children.
In 1993, I earned a degree in industrial engineering from the University Santa Maria La Antigua in Panama. Years later, after the birth of my second child in 2007, I became a stay-at-home mom. During that time, I faced the difficult journey of postpartum depression, which led me to a life-changing decision: In 2011, at age 41, I taught myself the art of mixed media and followed my dream of becoming an artist.
Now in my 50s, after achieving some of my biggest dreams (becoming a professional artist, writing a book, and opening my very own gallery), I feel a deeper calling. Through my art, my mission is to inspire other women to surrender to their creative flow and have the courage to live authentically.
I believe that each of us is born with a burning desire planted deep within, and it is our responsibility (and our gift) to share it with the world. It is never too late to embrace who we truly are and to blossom.
My work has been exhibited both in Panama and Louisiana and has been featured in local and international magazines.
I invite you to browse my gallery. If something catches your eye, if you have questions, or if you simply want to connect, feel free to email me at nadjah@artbynadjah.com, use the "Contact Me" page, or visit me in person at my gallery. I would love to meet you!
