ABOUT

Originally from Panama, Central America, I moved to the U.S. over 25 years ago.  I now live in South Louisiana with my husband and our two children.

I graduated in Industrial Engineering in early 1993 from the University Santa Maria La Antigua in Panama and then became a stay at home mom after the birth of my second child.  I experienced a period postpartum depression, so in 2011 I decided to teach myself the art of mixed media and pursue my desire of becoming an artist.

After accomplishing my  dream of becoming a professional artist in my early 40’s (and thankfully battling depression), my main purpose now that I am 50 is  to use  my series "La Flor 250" and "We Will Sea" as vehicles to  inspire others to surrender to the flow and have the courage to be their authentic self.

I  believe there is a reason why we were put on this earth with a burning desire planted deep in us and it is our responsibility to bring  out that gift to others.  It is never too late to embrace who we really are and blossom.

My work has been exhibited in Panama and Louisiana as well as it has been published in local and international magazines.

I invite you to browse around and if something catches your eye or if you have any questions (or even if you just want to chat), feel free to contact me via email at nadjah@artbynadjah.com or the  "Contact Me" section on here.  I'd love to connect with you!
